Comme Deleted scenes, forgotten dreams, Patience (After Sebald) se détache dans la discographie de The Caretaker puisque Leyland Kirby y compose une bande-originale pour le film du même nom. Pas de jazz mais des reprises en boucle de passages du Voyage d'hiver de Schubert (qui n'était pas le dernier à utiliser la répétition — un maître spirituel ?) ; pas de "taches" dans la musique mais plutôt un effet de neige comme sur une vieille radio — assez proche de Paysage d'Hiver. Une solitude extrême.
